Stainless steel and titanium are commonly requested for semiconductor equipment because they offer strong corrosion resistance, clean appearance, mechanical stability and compatibility with controlled manufacturing environments. Stainless steel is widely used for equipment frames, chamber support parts, panels, brackets and general hardware. Titanium is often selected where weight, corrosion resistance, magnetic behaviour or process compatibility are important.
316 and 316L stainless hardware can support corrosion resistance, cleaning compatibility and cleanroom equipment use.
Titanium hardware can support lightweight construction, corrosion resistance and specialist semiconductor equipment applications.
Semiconductor equipment hardware may require cleaning before use to reduce oils, residues, loose particles and contaminants. Cleaning options can include degreasing, ultrasonic cleaning, precision cleaning, passivation, electropolishing and cleanroom-compatible packaging depending on the part, material and application.
Outgassing reduction is especially important for vacuum equipment, process chambers and sensitive semiconductor tools. Material selection, surface finish, cleaning method, lubricant control, packaging and venting features all contribute to reducing trapped gas, volatile residues and contamination risk.
Vented screws are designed with a through-hole or vent path that helps release trapped gas from blind threaded holes during vacuum pump-down. They are used in vacuum chambers, process tools and semiconductor equipment where trapped gas can slow pump-down, contribute to contamination or affect process stability.
Sucatec can support vented socket head cap screws, vented bolts, vented flat head screws and other vacuum-compatible fastener options in stainless steel, titanium and specialist materials, subject to size, specification and quantity requirements.
Semiconductor equipment hardware may be used within cleanroom environments aligned with ISO 14644-1. For vacuum or low-outgassing applications, material and process suitability should be confirmed against the customer specification, including any ASTM E595 or internal outgassing requirements where applicable.
Where required, Sucatec can support product data, Certificates of Conformity, batch information, RoHS and REACH declarations, material certificates and supplier qualification information. See our Quality Policy, Compliance Policy and RoHS and REACH Policy.
